The ealier the better to have cochlear implant
A new paper just has published on Science (2005 Dec 2;310(5753):1490-2. ) titled as Restoration of auditory nerve synapses in cats by cochlear implants. Dr. Ryugo's team at Johns Hopkins finished the work. The journal deemed the study as "valuable information to the field of not only cochlear implants, but the whole area of neuroscience research".
The works suggest that the ealier to have cochlear implant, the better the patient would benefit from the device.
